A platform-independent desktop tool
The ARRIRAW Converter runs on macOS, Windows and Linux. We built our own GUI framework in C++ and OpenGL for it, rendering the design pixel-precisely on every platform.

Arnold & Richter Cine Technik (ARRI), Munich, founded in 1917. Manufacturer of camera and lighting systems for film and media. The ALEXA camera series shoots roughly 80% of the world's largest cinema productions. To date, 18 Scientific and Engineering Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The ARRIRAW Converter (ARC) processes MXF/ARRIRAW raw data platform-independently, GPU-accelerated and in optimal image quality.

The ARRIRAW Converter runs on macOS, Windows and Linux. We built our own GUI framework in C++ and OpenGL for it, rendering the design pixel-precisely on every platform.

Real-time processing of sensor raw data isn't possible without the GPU. We leverage GPGPU technologies like CUDA and OpenCL to run the entire image processing pipeline highly optimised on the graphics card.

MXF/ARRIRAW raw data can be transcoded, treated with looks and rendered to production-ready formats like OpenEXR, DPX or ProRes. With full control over every processing step.
In 2021, the ARRIRAW Converter was succeeded by the ARRI Reference Tool (ART) and merged into it. Today it bundles the ARC functionality with the ARRI Color Tool and ARRI Meta Extract.
The ARRIRAW SDK we contribute to powers more than just the ARRIRAW Converter. It's also part of post-production tools from Adobe, Autodesk, Blackmagic, Colorfront, FilmLight and The Foundry.
